Topic: Compassion Fatigue: When the Helping Profession Hurts
















Secondary Traumatic Stress Disorder (STSD) occurs in helping professions when the pile-up of witnessing or working with victims of traumatic events and their families take an emotional toll.

































Course Objective: This presentation explores the characteristics of those most likely to experience STSD and how to add to your personal resources to minimize the effects of STSD.

































Audience: First responders, ER workers, ICU staff, firefighters, police officers, and human services workers

































Topic: Employee Relationships:  Developing Healthy Boundaries
















What are your personal boundaries at work with co-workers? With clients? What recourse is there if a co-worker is making someone feel uncomfortable?

Topic: When Substance Abuse Comes to Work
















It is estimated that substance abuse costs American society between thirty-three and sixty billion dollars a year. Almost one fifth of workers report injuries or exposure to dangerous conditions because of a co-workers drinking, or have had to go beyond their regular work responsibilities to compensate for an employee who was alcohol-impaired.

































Course Objective: To review facts of alcohol and substance abuse and offer resources to access help for the substance abuser and his/her family members.

Topic: Critical Incident Stress Response: Employer & Employees
















Critical Incident Stress occurs when there has been a physical response to an unexpected loss, act of violence or other abnormal event that impacts the workplace. Research has shown that when first responders are given the opportunity to talk about the traumatic event shortly after the event occurred, the less likely Post Traumatic Stress symptoms occur.

































Objective: Provide a safe, confidential, environment to discuss how responding to traumatic situations impact first responders

































Audience: Police, firefighters, health care workers, and other first responders( employees)


































































Service Rate: first Hour rate (training & critical incident response): USD 350.00 and $ 200.00 per hour for additional time
